Founder — Voice of Dharma Foundation

Who is Hari Das?

Hari Das is the founder of the Voice of Dharma Foundation — a man whose life has been shaped not by titles or institutions, but by a sincere and sustained engagement with the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.

Born and raised in India, Hari Das grew up in an environment where dharmic values were not merely spoken about but quietly lived. He witnessed, from an early age, the profound difference that a life of sincere service, devotion, and wisdom can make — not only in the lives of individuals, but in the spirit of entire communities.

His journey into the depths of the Bhagavad Gita began not in a classroom or an ashram, but in the midst of ordinary life — through questions that would not go away, through experiences that demanded deeper answers, and through the gradual recognition that the Gita speaks not to any particular time, culture, or religion, but to the universal human condition.

Spiritual journey of Hari Das

“The path of dharma is not a destination — it is a way of walking.”

Spiritual Journey of Hari Das

Hari Das's spiritual journey is rooted in the recognition that wisdom is not something to be acquired once and then possessed. It is a living process — one that unfolds through daily practice, honest reflection, and the willingness to be changed by what one learns.

Over the years, he has immersed himself in the study of the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads, and related texts — not as an academic exercise, but as a sincere seeker. He has sat with teachers, served communities, and walked quietly through the many landscapes of dharmic life in India.

Through it all, one conviction has remained constant: that the wisdom of the Gita is not a luxury for those who have time for philosophy. It is a necessity — for anyone who wishes to live with clarity, purpose, and compassion in the world as it is.

This conviction became the seed of the Voice of Dharma Foundation.

Three Pillars of His Path

Karma — action and service

Karma

Action in Life

Hari Das understands Karma not merely as the law of cause and effect, but as the invitation to act rightly in every moment — without ego, without attachment to outcomes, and with full attention to the quality of each action.

Through the Foundation's Annadhanam programme and community service initiatives, this understanding is lived out practically, quietly, and consistently.

Bhakti — devotion and temple

Bhakti

Devotion and Spiritual Reflection

For Hari Das, Bhakti is not sentiment. It is a fundamental orientation of the heart — a way of approaching all of life with love, reverence, and surrender to something greater than the self.

His personal practice of devotion has shaped his understanding of service: that true service is an offering of the heart, not merely a transaction of effort and outcome.

Gyaan — scripture and knowledge

The Pursuit of Wisdom

Hari Das's engagement with wisdom is lifelong and ongoing. He does not present himself as one who has arrived at final answers. Rather, he is a fellow seeker — someone who has walked far enough along the path to know that the path itself is the destination.

Through the Foundation's educational work, he seeks to create spaces where wisdom can be encountered, questioned, and lived.

In His Own Words

I did not start Voice of Dharma Foundation because I felt I had something to teach. I started it because I recognised something that needed to be shared — not my knowledge, but the knowledge that was given to us thousands of years ago and remains as true today as it was then.

The Bhagavad Gita does not belong to any temple, any institution, or any tradition. It belongs to anyone who is willing to sit with its questions honestly. My work is simply to create spaces — through service, through reflection, through devotion — where that honesty can happen.

I do not know if I have found the answers. But I have learned that the questions themselves, when held with sincerity, are transformative. That is what I wish to offer.

Vision

A world in which the wisdom of dharma is not a distant ideal but a lived reality — where individuals act with clarity and compassion, communities are bound by genuine care, and the ancient light of the Bhagavad Gita continues to illuminate the path forward.

Let your life be your teaching.
